Just Your Typical Mom and Dad From Different Clans [Closed]

Rowankit quietly hung from his mother's mouth. The kit was still blind and deaf, and still heavily relied on sense of smell. As long as his mother was here he'd stay calm. Even if he could smell the new experiences, he was quite still. She then put him down and he rolled himself towards her.

Ravenheart quickly trotted through the forest. He had been able to sneak out of the warrior's den without anyone questioning him. He had to do this quickly though. His amber eyes narrowed as Skyclan scent became the dominant smell, he had passed the border. Shadowclan could write that off as a fox coming from their territory coming through. He finally broke through into a small clearing of trees that contained his mate and a kit. "Mallowdrop!" He whispered, he didn't want any loud noises waking any cat that might be able to hear from their camp. He doubted anyone could but it was a possibility. He'd trot over to her, bumping his head into her shoulder. He then looked down at the quiet bundle of ginger fur. "Is this my child?" He asked this knowing it was true. "It's beautiful." He sat waiting for her to speak. He knew she had to get back to her camp as she had kits there to take care of.

Mallowdrop nodded, a smile appearing as she proudly nudged Rowankit to go towards his father. "Yes, Dear." The she-cat mewed, looking back up to Ravenheart and licking his forehead sweetly. "I named him Rowankit, but it's up to you if you would like to keep that name." Mallowdrop purred, as she sat down next to her mate. "So far he hasn't spoken or learned to walk. His eyes aren't open, either." The mother explained, "I wanted him to meet you before he saw me, Ravenheart." Mallowdrop purred as she placed her head on Ravenheart's shoulder and looked up to him.

"Anyways, I have a plan for the kits." The queen began, "It's long but I know that it's going to be worth the talking if I get to see my children and so do you." Mallowdrop explained. "I would like to ask if it would be okay with you to meet here around every new moon and see the kits." The female asked, knowing that it would be nice for the two to see their kits grow in front of their eyes, despite not being able to see them through their glorious moments. "We have to let them know that they are siblings, they just have to make it a secret."

Ravenheart would listen to his mate, amber eyes almost glowing in the night. He loved the name she'd given his kit. Rowankit. The kit looked like fire, with Mallowdrop's fiery pelt and his long fur. Perhaps he'd grow up to look quite similar to his father in all but pelt color. He'd listen to her idea of letting the kits see each other. He'd flatten his ears against his head when he said this.

"I fear that either one, the kits could be injured out of camp. Thats why there is a rule against kits leaving camp. Even if they were with us it would be such a risk. And number two.. What if the kits cant keep a secret. I understand that kits sometimes let things slip. I'm the deputy though and I'm sorry but I don't think that'd work. Perhaps when they are apprentices we can introduce them at a gathering and perhaps you can tell them but.. I don't think it would work." Ravenheart was visibly disappointed. He didn't want to keep these kits away from each other but it would be all for the best.

"Ravenheart..." Mallowdrop trailed off, rubbing into her mates side. "Kits let things slip all the time, no one would believe them." The female trailed off, trying to convince Ravenheart with all her might, but she felt like this wouldn't work. "I won't see you for a long time, love." Mallowdrop mewed sadly, looking down at the ground and lifting his head up. She felt happy, but sad all at once.

Mallowdrop sighed, standing up as she looked back to Ravenheart, trying to put on a happy smile. "I just want you to be happy, you deserve it." The queen purred, touching her face to her mates.

Ravenheart would be looking at his paws. He knew that kits, while they did say random things, if it were said enough questions might be asked. If a kit said his father was in Shadowclan he would be found out. He needed to put his clan first, and his trust with his clanmates first. He had already violated it by having relations with Mallowdrop.

"I think it's better if we wait until their first gathering.. I know we wont see each other for awhile.. But you will hopefully see me inside of them. The kits. This is our, and their, safest option.." He'd lick her cheek, and would pick up the large ginger kit in his jaws. He would have to wash the kit's Skyclan scent off before he brought him into the Shadowclan camp.

Mallowdrop purred, giving her mate a final lick before heading off. "Make sure that you lead them to an area far from here so that they don't pick up my scent, Rowankit needs to be safe." She mewed, "Just tell them you found him abandoned, they can't know about this, love." Mallowdrop explained before giving her mate a smile and running off back to camp where she would find herself laying down with her remaining kits.
