The night grew colder as the moon glowed in the dark midnight sky. It was a full moon and already time for a gathering. It was a late one, but one that the cats of ShadowClan, ThunderClan, RiverClan, WinderClan, and SkyClan would never forget.

Moonstar lead her clan into fourtrees. She remembered the tales her father had told her of how this place was a great resting ground for the dead from a long forgotten battle that had created the clans. Whether the tales were real or not, she had passed them onto Swampfang and hoped he would do the same with his kits. Moonstar pushed these memories back - it was the now. Moonstar watched as cats stayed together dispersed or went of on their own. She only had a little bit of time before the gathering started properly but that should be enough to time to find Ottersplash and chat with him for a bit. She glanced around the clearing looking for him.

Pebblestar strode into Fourtrees, followed by her clan, making RiverClan the second clan to arrive that night. The leader's eyes sparkled happily, apparently enjoying the cool of the night. While inwardly, doubts about the fight between ThunderClan and ShadowClan tugged at her mind, for the most part she ignored that and kept walking, leaping up onto the Great Rock. Hopefully this gathering would be a quick one and end soon, so that her warriors and apprentices could still get a bit of sleep that night. Hunting needed to be done in the morning, so they couldn't waste too much time here. While ShadowClan had already arrived, she didn't see Moonstar, so waited for her and the other leaders to jin her.

It seemed like not too long ago that Brackenstar had visited here with the leader of ThunderClan, Badgerstar. The golden-brown tom still felt uneasy about the terms of their alliance, but ThunderClan had always come when WindClan called, and at this juncture Brackenstar felt no need to break from tradition. It seemed unlikely that ShadowClan would launch a full-scale attack, but Brackenstar knew that wishful thinking could be blinding.
WindClan was the third Clan to arrive, Brackenstar leading the way from their camp in the moors, through the brush, and down the hill into Fourtrees for the Gathering just as RiverClan and ShadowClan arrived. The moon was high, giving the usually brown tom's grizzled coat an almost ethereal glow. He strode in confidently and wasted no time in springing to his place above the clearing. Brackenstar gave his Clan a small, proud nod before turning to the other leader and dipping his head. "Good evening, Pebblestar," the tom said pleasantly.

Badgerstar walked into Fourtrees, his clan walking behind him. He sighed, knowing he'd have to deal with Moonstar again. The fight would be noted in this Gathering, he was sure of it. He leaped onto his designated spot, a large rock. His deputy under him, who he greatly appreciated coming. He glanced at Moonstar, wincing at the thought of hearing her voice and her talking about how her clan must be better than Badgerstars. He sighed, looking around and hoping to find his mate somewhere in the crowd to reassure himself.
Ferretheart walked into Fourtrees alongside her apprentice, Dewpaw who she had been training for a few days now. Ferretheart was nervous, scared of hearing the news of ShadowClan, hoping that the warriors clan was still on top. The she-cat never enjoyed fights, she had a feeling no one did, barely did she ever talk bad about someone. But she had to stay quiet and be loyal to her clan. So, she took her seat, waiting for a cat to talk to her.
Ottersplash entered Fourtrees, excited to see Moonstar again. Their meeting was wonderful and the male had wanted to see her all the time since their eyes met last. Once he was in, he looked around frantically for her. Spotting her and winking at her playfully.

Moonstar wanted more than anything to speak with Ottersplash, but she needed to report with the other leaders. She nodded towards the Great Rock, signaling to Ottersplash what she wanted to say. Moonstar gave him one last glance and pushed through crowd to the Great rock. The stone was cold and sharp beneath her paws. She looked around at the other leaders, giving Badgerstar in particular a harsh glare. She nodded to the others then spoke. "Who shall go first?" She asked the other leaders. Moonstar was perfectly content to wait to be the last leader to speak, sl long as she could yell at Badgerstar.

Mousepaw ran in with her Clan, ThunderClan, her chin held high. If one didn't know her any better, they might think that she was strutting. To be honest, she was; the Apprentice had never been to a Gathering before, but she knew that ShadowClan was here, and she would show no weakness. She was a freshly appointed Apprentice, and she was going to make her Clan proud. She sat in the crowd, looking up at the leaders with mixed awe and smugness.

Badgerstar look towards Moonstar, his gaze softening in order to not look too threatening and break the warrior code. He knew it was usually the first leader that came went first, and he didn't hesitate to say it to Moonstar. "First leader here, Moonstar." He mewed in an mellow tone, trying to not cause any trouble like he was sometimes known to do. "Unless you feel uncomfortable with that..." He mewed, "Then I suppose we'll have to see who will share their content first." He explained, turning away from her and looking around in the crowd of cats. He spotted a few familiar faces, but didn't want to chat with anyone other than the leaders, for now. He wanted to get down to business, for that was his goal today.
Ottersplash watched as Moonstar looked away from him, he knew she had to share her clans news with the leaders, along with everyone else at the gathering. He couldn't wait to speak to her again, for their time together was vital for the tom.

"Greetings," Pebblestar greeted, dipping her head at the other three leaders who had arrived. Lionstar had yet to arrive with SkyClan, but it was getting late and she doubted he would care. Besides, her clan's well being was more important than giving information to SkyClan. Clearing her throat, she nodded thankfully to Moonstar. While Badgerstar's aggression was frankly annoying, she ignored him, keeping her expression pleasant. Now the gathering could begin. Smiling, she began to speak. "While Lionstar is yet to arrive, I'll start. It's getting late and I doubt anything I say will be anything SkyClan would care about." After pausing a moment to make sure everyone was okay with that, she continued cheerfully. "Anyways, we have one new kit in our clan, Rainykit. She is doing well, and we are glad to welcome new life. We have no new warriors or apprentices, but RiverClan is thriving through Greenleaf and we don't really have any major problems." While there was where she would usually stop talking, there was one more matter that she felt like she needed to address that night. It wasn't really anything she wanted to have to say, but nonetheless, she managed to keep a happy demeanor. "I would also like to note that while RiverClan is aware of the aggression between ThunderClan and ShadowClan, we are as of now not choosing sides. This is not our problem, and I find no reason to make it so."

Moonstar shrugged. She was fine with going second. "I suppose I should continue. Shadowclan is doing well. We are experiencing a slight dip in members, but our prey pile is higher then it has been ever before." She looked around at the other leaders. "Very recently, There was a border skirmish between Shadowclan and Thunderclan. My kit, Swampfang, was injured and my mate Falconstrike was killed in cold blood. Do you have anything to say Badgerstar?" She mewed, her voice filled with grief.

Badgerstar shifted, partly wanting to ignore Moonstar but wanting to respond. "I hope you understand two things, I never asked for my patrol to kill anyone. And second, when you start a fight, don't expect it to go your way, Moonstar, for all fights begin with death." He mewed, figuring he might as well share ThunderClan's activity. "ThunderClan has been doing stupendous. We welcome two new apprentices at our side who is Dewpaw and Mousepaw, both who's training is yet to be finished but who are doing great when it comes to learning skills." He mewed, "Lullabyshade has become a queen and is expecting soon. We welcome Frostfur as a new warrior to our clan along with the recently appointed medicine cat, Rainpool. Although, we are still waiting on Rainpool to decide her apprentice." The leader finished, standing proudly. Badgerstar spotted Mousepaw in the crowd, she seemed like she was representing ThunderClan well, She'll make a fine warrior someday... he thought happily.

Brackenstar felt uneasy about starting without seeing Lionstar, but the SkyClan leader was nowhere to be seen and the Gathering needed to commence. The tom meowed in a low tone, intending to defuse the accusations that were just flung between the other leaders, "I am happy to hear that ShadowClan and ThunderClan are doing well, despite their differences at this time." He gave them both pointed stares. "RiverClan is known to prosper during Greenleaf - I'm glad it is going as usual."
After a moment, Brackenstar turned to address the Clans. "WindClan is proud to announce three news Warriors - Petalwish, Kestrelfang, and Songstorm. In addition, I am honored to have taken on a new Apprentice: Sunpaw." The WindClan leader's stoic face barely masked his pride. "Greenleaf is treating the moor, and WindClan, well." He nodded his head and stepped back, looking to see if the other leaders had more to say.
Mousepaw watched the exchange between her father and the ShadowClan leader, looking annoyed at Moonstar. A pang in her stomach told her that the she-cat couldn't be that bad, and she hadn't seemed so - what was that about her mate being killed in a skirmish? - but Mousepaw sided with her father.

Lionstar strode into fourtrees with his clan close behind him. He didn't care so much that he was late, it didn't matter what the other clans thought, Skyclan was obviously the best clan. He joined the leaders up on the rock and took his turn. "Skyclan is well. Prey is plentiful and we bring two kits into the clan. Otterkit and Frostkit. On the topic of that.. skirmish or whatever, Skyclan will not fight in this battle for it is none of our concern if it does not affect us negatively"

Badgerstar looked over towards the late SkyClan leader, the tom could almost feel that the other leaders surrounding had found it disrespectful for being late. Although, Badgerstar had noticed Brackenstar's lack of defense towards ThunderClan, only mentioning how well the two had been doing the past few moments, although the leader could feel how tense the moment was, he knew something was to happen between him and Moonstar. "That's good news, everyone." ThunderClan's leader began, "Although I believe that we have had our troubles and don't seem to be acknowledging and sort of odd behaviors as of recently." Badgerstar mewed, not only was he hinting towards ShadowClan's personality currently, but also some other questions. "As much as greenleaf is a time for growth, it is also time for trouble, and I know that we have had some of that lately, especially with Moonstar and I's relationship that has been showed to all of the clans." Badgerstar explained, "And any sort of attacks that will lash out at this meeting I will not condone in and will not participate in." He finished, lacking any sort of emotion but pride in his words. He had understood that it was unsettling what ThunderClan and ShadowClan had been going through, but he knew he must apologize for as much as he had said on any day. He was arrogant and short-tempered, but he was in his position for a reason, his forgiveness between himself and others, along with his strong belief in his clan.
