Ferretheart nodded at Smokepaw proudly, signalling him that he was doing well in this fight. The warrior was confident that she would have her turn in this fight, getting a little competitive at the moment even though she was just fighting her apprentice. She gathered the moves that she needed, getting ready to attack somewhat peacefully, meaning no harm to be placed onto Smokepaw.

The mentor then was able to escape the toms grip, leaping up and jumping over to him, hoping to pin him down successfully, which she had no idea if was possible due to the last to attempts she had made to attack the tom, which had both obviously failed. She had been stunned for a time longer than planned and was ready to lash out in a somewhat educational way towards Smokepaw.

Ferretheart used 'Running Tackle' on Smokepaw, dealing -15 damage and costing -15 stamina.

Smokepaw didn't see it coming, the tackle. He went down shaking his head. Everything was dizzy. He was dazed. He growled as he tried to figure out where the next attack would come from. Smokepaw didn't want to lose, though his mentor was much better and was much stronger than he was. He was just glad he wasn't pinned, then he would have a problem.

Smokepaw is no longer dazed.

Ferretheart stepped back, letting Smokepaw make an attack but remembering that she had stunned him. So instead, she decided to use a move she hadn't used in quite a while, which was Unsheathed Strike. But she hadn't yet taught Smokepaw about a move that most warriors didn't use due to the dishonorable factor behind it. The move she was to still teach her apprentice was called Killing Bite, which she would use with less harm than any cat would use in their current fighting terms, which was only training.

Ferretheart began to leap down onto Smokepaw, opening her mouth and beginning to try her best to bite down on her apprentices next as mildly as possible, but it seemed she couldn't pull off such a move, she tried her best to signal to Smokepaw that it had just been to show him it was for training, and she hoped it went through to her apprentice.

Ferretheart tried to use 'Killing Bite' on Smokepaw, but failed!

Ferretheart is stunned for one post!

The apprentice had just cleared his blurry vision when his mentor attempted to bite his neck. Of course it was just for training purposes and he saw the signal she did with her tail. He finally backed up, ready to attack. Maybe this would end it?

He quickly jumped just in front of his mentor, trying the same move on her. Of course he missed as well. He then proceeded to fall, stunning himself.

Ferretheart smiled, noticing the toms commitment to learning new moves. "You're doing great!" She mewed, understanding that the battle was almost over but that there were no more moves that needed to be shared except for the clan move, which she knew Smokepaw could not use until his time to become a warrior of ThunderClan came.

The mentor drew herself back from Smokepaw, becoming faster as she Thin around in a circle. She had gone from a simple walk, to a fast running speed. Ferretheart then leaped out towards her apprentice, trying her best to slow down as she aimed tackled him slightly. She had missed though, instead leaping onto the ground, which had been a foolish move.

Ferretheart attempted to use 'Thunder Bolt', but failed miserably!

Smokepaw would watch his mentor run in circles around him? He supposed that was another move, but she had missed. Now's my chance! He'd quickly try swiping at his mentor again, but he missed. He growled in frustration. That was an easy shot! He'd sigh, knowing that if she hit him again he would be beaten.

Ferretheart sighed, understanding she had missed her apprentice and wished that they could take a break, but she knew that the fight had to continue, even if she had remained tired and lost to her own apprentice, which was rare for her and most other mentors, even if they went easy.

The female ThunderClanner had ran off, backing away from her opponent as she continued to try and ram into him, hoping the move would work. Ferretheart had tried her best and wanted to show more options to Smokepaw, which she knew would be colorful if the tom was to ever use some of his apprentice moves when he was battling another clan cat.

Ferretheart tried to use 'Running Tackle' and missed! (You have permission to use Killing Bite on her for this because this is lasting far too long lol)

When he saw Ferretheart miss, he finally saw his opportunity. A chance to end this. Even if this was just pretend fighting, these were things he might have to do someday. Determination sparked in his eyes once again as he leaped forward. He got just under the taller cat, gently biting her throat, as to not actually puncture anything. He backed up. "I think that would've killed you."

He kinda just blinked at his mentor. He was surprised that he had beaten her. He felt.. powerful by beating his mentor. Maybe he wouldn't have in a real fight. But he wanted so badly to be able to beat a warrior. This was as close as he felt to power. He felt he was improving. His memories flashed to when he was pinned by that Shadowclan warrior. He hated that, the feeling he couldn't escape. It made him feel weak, he could've died. He didn't, and he felt slightly indebted to the Shadowclan Medicine Cat and Deputy. He came back to reality, flicking his tail.

Ferretheart leaped upwards, smiling as she Thin from out of Smokepaw's strong pin. "You did so well!" She purred, smiling at the tom happily. "Next is hunting." She mewed, "Which I know doesn't excite you just as much as fighting does." The female winked as she began to lead Smokepaw to the next training department.

Smokepaw padded along with his mentor, happy he had defeated her. Something just didn't feel right though. He wasn't sure what it was, whether it was the way Ferretheart was acting or himself he didn't know. He was slightly disappointed he didn't get to fight more. But he supposed the fight had gone on long enough anyway. He was sorta excited to hunt at least then he could help his clan. The sun was beginning to float higher above the horizon and the day was getting hotter as well. Thankfully his short pelt helped keep him cooler than the long furred cats. He flicked his ears, which was becoming quite a habit for him when he was annoyed. He wondered how much farther it would be.

Ferretheart decided to test Smokepaw as they waited, wanting to give him some kind of reminders and whatnot on his training. Testing him, if you shall say.

The mentor had to remember herself what they had done. And when she was finally ready and wanted to give the apprentice some remarks, she spoke. "Recall to me what moves you could have used and what moves you did use." Ferretheart mewed, looking forwards and not at Smokepaw, she still had to focus on getting them to the right place in spite of how many apprentices she had taught in her past.

Smokepaw remembered back to their mock battle for a moment, knowing he only actually knew about four moves. "I think I used Unsheathed Strike, Running Tackle, and Killing Bite." There was pin, but he hadn't used it. He didn't want to use it. He continued padding along while wondering what prey they might catch. Maybe a squirrel or a bird. Maybe both. Either way he hoped animals would be out and about the sun was getting quite high in the sky at this point.

Ferretheart nodded, knowing the tom obviously wasn't being too detailed in his response. The mentor didn't want to push him, though, and instead wanted to move onto another topic, knowing that they were at the hunting grounds now. The female sat down, looking at the tom as she pointed her head over to where the tom was to be hunting. "Here's the plan," She mewed, getting ready to explain what was to happen. "You will go out and show me what you've got. I will not be with you and expect you to be able to try your best to point out your flaws when hunting along with your strengths." Ferretheart explained, "I will be waiting here," She mewed, "don't pressure yourself too much, for it is your first time." The female finished, waiting for the toms response.
