Ferretheart had been patrolling the border with her clanmates when she had stopped by the river, wanting to mark it as she had been not too worried about RiverClan but was suspicious as to if they had been partnering with ShadowClan in anyway. She had been sent out by Hollowblossom to specifically look by the river with a patrol, which happened to be late at night too. Ferretheart was cautious but understood that RiverClan wasn't ThunderClan's concern right now.
The she-cat ThunderClanner excused to patrol to go check on the other parts of the forest as she trotted over towards the river, moving alongside the stream and checking into RiverClan's side of the forest, seeing where her sight of their territory ended when the darkness consumed it, letting it fade into nothingness.
Ferretheart turned her head when a sudden splash triggered her ears to perk up towards the direction of RiverClan's territory. She look at the noisy spot, her eyes turned to slits as she began to stalk into the river as quietly as possible, making the leap towards a shadow that outlined the shape of a cat just a little larger than herself. Ferretheart tried to pay attention to the details, the moonlight helped as it gleamed on familiar Bengal fur, soon she could make out what looked like Tigerpounce's face.

Tigerpounce slithered out of the water and back onto Riverclan territory, shaking her pelt of excess water and sitting back on her haunches. Looking around at her surroundings, the deputy noticed slight movement on the other side of the border, and stalked closer to the source to investigate. The moonlight shone faintly through the trees, just enough to help guide the Riverclan deputy through the foliage; resting behind a small patch of shrubbery, Tigerpounce poked her head through the fronds, her wide, moony eyes searching throughout the darkness.
"Someone there?" She whispered out, her fur standing on end as she opened her mouth to catch a scent, noting the strong tang of Thunderclan hanging in the air. Either they just refreshed the border, Tigerpounce thought, Or there's someone here... Creeping forward further, she noticed the soft outlines of another cat, just on the other side of the river, staring directly at her. Tigerpounce drew up to her full height, letting her glossy pelt catch the light of the moon, "Something interesting to see over here?" She questioned, careful to keep her voice low so as not to alert any nearby cats.
Taking a deep breath, the deputy noted the sweet scent of Ferretheart, one of Thunderclans warriors, just on the opposite bank. Twitching her whiskers crossly, Tigerpounce shook her head toward the silent warrior, "There's nothing worth watching over here," She drawled, sensing that she could drop her guard, "You might want to run back to your patrol before they get curious as to what you're doing mooning at a Riverclan cat." Tigerpounce watched the she-cat, admiring her strong form and proud face, and wondered if all Thunderclan cats carried this same feeling, or if it was just Ferretheart that demanded her attention so keenly.

Ferretheart smiled at the other she-cat, understanding that she had taken a liking to the other female for longer than she had thought when she had first found out that she had been somewhat attracted to the beautiful deputy. She had no intentions of sounding creepy, and neither did her tone. "Well, I'm just admiring your beauteous looks." Ferretheart purred, beginning to stand up from her battle position and move closer to the deputy, wanting to make a friendly and maybe flirty conversation with the female.

Stepping forward, the deputy grinned slyly, eyeing the approaching she-cat warmly. "The same could be said for you, lovely," She purred, her voice low and soft like feathers in the night air. A warm breeze ruffled the deputy's fur, and a shiver of anticipation ran through her body as she grew closer to Ferretheart, "Though I wonder, what is a beautiful creation like yourself doing out so late at night?" Tigerpounce questioned, tilting her head to the side. Great Starclan, what am I doing? I know I shouldn't be speaking to her, but why does it feel so right when I do? Looking up to the stars, she begged for answers of why she was feeling this way, especially to someone outside of her own clan, but all she recieved in return was silence. Looking back to Ferretheart, Tigerpounce hoped the she-cat had not noticed her confusion, and purred when she leaned in closer to inspect the Thunderclan warrior.
"What a pretty little thing, you are," She mumbled, her words lazy and careless, "And yet here you are, working so hard and so late for your clan members. I wonder, do they see how special you are, or is it only me?" Tigerpounce grinned widely, her heart fluttering as she gazed at the pretty cat, but inside her mind, her thoughts were churning. Starclan, please don't let this be a mistake.

Ferretheart turned red slightly, looking away to the ground and smiling. She tittered slightly, not expecting such a response from such a drop-dead gorgeous cat, especially one that she had barely ever talked to! She could feel herself getting a feeling she had never really felt, something that made her turn hot and burn-up, but it felt...good...
The warrior looked back to Tigerpounce, "You have a way with words, beautiful." She purred, still noticeably red. "You deserve so much more..." Ferretheart smiled, licking the females forehead in a loving way. She hadn't expected to have this elevate on such a high level, but she couldn't resist still talking to Tigerpounce. Ferretheart then began to rub against the other female, stopping at her other side and sitting down next to her. "Sit down, Darling." She flirted, rubbing her head into Tigerpounce's side gently.

The female deputy purred, happily obliging as she rested beside Ferretheart alongside the river. Turning to look at the smaller, yet infinitely beautiful she cat, Tigerpounce felt a rush of adoration rise in her chest; She knew it was wrong, but by Starclan, it felt so right. In this moment, she didn't care if she was doing the wrong thing, as long as she could sit beside Ferretheart for a little longer.
"Whatever you give me is more than I'll ever deserve," She purred back, eyeing the pretty she-cat with such affection that every strand of fur on her pelt felt like it was on fire, "And in return, I will offer you everything that I am." Tigerpounce knew that it was such a bold offer to make, but something about this cat made her mind run fuzzy and her heart race. The deputy leaned over and nuzzled Ferretheart, bathing in her sweet, foresty scent while they gazed at the water rushing past them. |

Ferretheart could feel her heart pounding in her chest, hearing this offer made her extremely nervous. And with Tigerpounce's sweet interactions, which the female ThunderClanner cherished. The short time that the two had spent together felt long, but Ferretheart didn't have a single problem with such a thing, at least when it came to spending time with Tigerpouce.
"I couldn't ever decline such an offer, my love." Ferretheart smiled, taking in her answer for a few moments before tackling Tigerpounce with joy, laughing adorably as she nuzzled her new companion with her warm nose and pressed her head against the deputies, know that Ferretheart had been lucky to not be noticed by her fellow clanmates who had only been a river and a few fox-lengths away.

Huffing with surprise, Tigerpounce landed on her back as Ferretheart nuzzled into her pelt, and once again she was doused with the sweet, earthy scent Ferretheart carried with her. "Quiet you fish-brain, you're going to get us caught!" The deputy laughed, a purr rumbling loudly in her throat. Twisting her body suddenly, Tigerpounce rolled and repositioned herself on top of the Thunderclan cat, pausing for a moment to take in the image before her. She bent down and licked the beautiful she-cat adoringly, her heart warming with affection. Tigerpounce, ever practical and calculating, wondered briefly how she had come to fall head over tail for this Thunderclan cat, but after only a moments thought, she realized that she didn't care. She knew how much trouble she could get in for this, but her heart quickly shut down the concerns of her mind, and instead focused solely on Ferretheart.
"Oh, how I could get lost in your eyes," Tigerpounce mumbled, admiring the she-cat that was still pinned beneath her, and in that moment, she knew Ferretheart had completely won her over in an instant.

"And how much I will miss you until we meet again, my golden treasure." Ferretheart purred, realizing she had been below Tigerpounce this whole time. She knew her patrol was waiting for her, but Ferretheart and her new mate needed to spend more time together before they parted, even if they were only a river away.
Ferretheart began to blush as she realized how happy she had been because of this meeting. Tigerpounce had shaped Ferretheart's life, and that stayed in the she-cats heart now. "My dear, you are the prize that I have won this time." Ferretheart purred, her eyes becoming more shiny as she realized that she had been betraying her clan. It didn't matter too much though, right? The she-cat looked away, into the forest that she had remembered her camp being in. Ferretheart closed her eyes, a frown replacing her joyful smile that had been for Tigerpounce.

A stone weighed heavy in Tigerpounce's stomach as she saw the expression shift on Ferretheart's face, knowing well what was troubling the beautiful she cat. "I know what you're thinking," She mumbled sadly, "And if you've changed your mind, I understand." Though her heart ached as she said it, Tigerpounce couldn't force Ferretheart to do this, despite how much she wanted to. She knew she was betraying her clan, but how bad could it really be? Thunderclan and Riverclan were at peace, it's not as if there was any conflict of interests, right? Just like if she had had a mate in Riverclan, Tigerpounce could dedicate herself to both her clan and Ferretheart.
"I would do anything for you, dear," She whispered, feeling the dread creep up in her throat, "But only you can make this choice." Tigerpounce stepped back and allowed Ferretheart some space, knowing completely what she was going through, as the Riverclan deputy was facing the same decision. Would she really be willing to put her entire life at risk for this one cat? Once again, her mind begged her not to, but her heart knew what she truly wanted, and that was Ferretheart.

Ferretheart rolled over onto her legs, standing up and moving towards Tigerpounce. "If this makes a war, it will be worth it if I get you in the end." The female purred, rubbing her face against her mates, "And I feel like I wouldn't meet someone as beautiful and wonderful as you, and you have shaped me despite our short time together, love." Ferretheart mewed, promising that she would be faithful to Tigerpounce as long as they were to be together. "And I remain happy when I am with you, and after." She purred, looking into her mates eyes with a sparkle of delight.
The she-cat mean't it, Tigerpounce made her happy in every way and the warrior was ready to finally win her over.

Hearing this from Ferretheart, her face lit up with love for her mate, pressing to her side and twining her tail with the Thunderclan she-cats. "I don't care what happens, so long as I can be beside you, however brief our visits may be," She purred, licking her mates cheek. She took a deep breath as the wind stirred her fur and caused the foliage to rustle behind them, whispering the secrets that only the two warriors and the forest would know. Tigerpounce sighed and rested her head on Ferrethearts shoulder, cherishing this moment, praying to Starclan that it could last forever.

Ferretheart laid her head on Tigerpounces', making it standing upright as the she-cat looked towards their left. She had finally found someone to be by her side, even if that meant she had to sacrifice her own loyalty to ThunderClan. It was forbidden, but the love between both Tigerpounce and Ferretheart had grown so strongly, that their visits were bound to be short, but there would be many.
"And I will appreciate every one of them as long as I am with you, dearest." Ferretheart purred, pulling away from Tigerpounce and starring into her beautiful emerald eyes that were wonderfully marbled in with a dark blue, which the ThunderClan warrior found attractive. "Love, I shall have you in my heart for the rest of my days, regardless of the short moments I intend on sharing with you." Ferretheart mewed as she the tucked herself away over Tigerpounce, keeping the love of her life safe and warm for as long as the female thought she would need it.

Tigerpounce curled her tail around Ferretheart, breathing in her scent and relishing in the comfort of her presence. She knew how severely she would be punished if her clan found out about her relationship with the Thunderclan warrior, but her heart ignored the threat, beating furiously inside her chest. The deputy closed her eyes and basked in the warmth of the warriors fur, purring as her breath stirred Tigerpounce's Bengal pelt. "I will hold you in my heart, forever and always, until we are together in the stars," She murmured quietly, almost afraid to ruin the moment with her words.
As Tigerpounce opened her eyes, she saw the gradual lightening of the sky, the deputy's heart sank, knowing deep down that she and her mate would soon have to part. A dark sadness crept through Tigerpounce's bones, dimming the gleam in her eyes, "I don't want to leave you, my love," She sighed, taking in the last few moments she had with her mate with a bittersweet sigh.

Ferretheart smiled wishing that this moment would last forever. But alas, she was wrong. Tigerpounce's first mew had been sweet, one that the she-cat meant towards Ferretheart. But the next time she would open her mouth, the warrior would feel the happiness in her flush away instantly.
"Nor I." Ferretheart mewed, a saddened tone creeping up in her once loving and tender voice. The she-cat began to lift herself up, automatically feeling the warmth of her mate's pelt chill away. "Tigerpounce," Ferretheart began, "I will love you for eternity, even if that means I must sacrifice my clan and world for the few moments I spend with you." The ThunderClanner finished, sighing and looking down, then deciding it would be best to give her mate one final rub with her head.
Ferretheart stood away, facing ThunderClan territory. "I shall meet you at the gathering." Ferretheart took one final breath with Tigerpounce, then leaping into the soft stream and finding herself united with her patrol.
