The light half-moon shone brightly through the dark clouds that floated around the sky. Soon, the clans' medicine cats would be gathering under beneath the moons shining light near the moonstone.

Blazeleaf padded towards the Moonstone, feeling eerily alone. SkyClan was the furthest away from the Moonstone, and he didn't have an escort or an apprentice. This wasn't the first time he had been in that situation, but with the other clans at war it was possibly the most dangerous. Now Highstones was in sight, and the half moon was starting to shine in the dark indigo sky. Climbing up the steep slope, he waited near Mothermouth for the other medicine cats to arrive. Surprisingly, he was the first one of the first ones there, which wasn't usually the case. Now he could jokingly ridicule the other's about being late for once. Nodding in acknowledgement of Rainpool, he stayed silent, not having anything to say. Paws kneading the ground, he hoped StarClan would only have good news for him. So far SkyClan had stayed out of the war, a choice he had approved of. Hopefully his ancestors would agree. As medicine cat, it was his job to report what StarClan said to Lionstar. And if that went against his own judgement, he still had to do so. Crickets chirped loudly around him, and he was pretty sure the moon was high enough for them to begin. Hopefully everyone would arrive on time and they could begin.

((OoC: I just had my memory refreshed about how the Moonstone journey works; there can be no talking once we enter the Mothermouth until we arrive at the Moonstone, so if there's anything any cat wants to say to another they need to say it before we enter.)) Valewhisper made her way slowly from ShadowClan's territory to Highstones, trying to keep her chin up and her tail high, but her spirit felt low. So much had happened in the last moon... Moonstar and Badgerstar's fighting seemed to have paused for a moment, but ShadowClan's leader had tried to kidnap the ThunderClan leader's son. And Moonstar tried to make me help, she thought to herself, that familiar pain stinging in her heart. It could not have been the will of StarClan that Valewhisper obey such a roguish command... right?
Valewhisper had disobeyed her leader in front of an enemy Clan. She had broken the Warrior Code, yes, but she was not a warrior; she had been called to serve StarClan, for the good of her Clan and all the Clans. Force-feeding an Apprentice couldn't have been right. However, guilt still gnawed at Valewhisper's belly. She had lost Moonstar's trust and respect, and she suspected that the already secretive leader would be more hostile towards her than before. The black and white Medicine Cat sighed. StarClan, please guide me tonight...
She neared the Mothermouth and forced herself to stand tall and proud, though she trembled and her soft green eyes were dull with sadness. Valewhisper was not known for being able to dull her emotions completely. She scented ShadowClan, RiverClan, and ThunderClan, but where was WindClan? She looked up at the sky, seeing the moon nearing its peak, and dipped her head in greeting to her fellow Medicine Cats as she meowed, "I hope all is well with WindClan. I'm not sure how long we can wait for them to arrive if we wish to receive guidance from StarClan ourselves."

Goldensight sprinted from Riverclan territory, holding her head high. She never liked going to the Moonstone. Every time she went, she got horrifying and cryptic warnings about a hidden enemy. She pushed the thought out of her mind, instead thinking about how the others would react to her being late. As she approached the group quickly, she spotted the others quietly chatting just outside Mothermouth. "Hello. Apolodgies for being late, there was an infected thorn wound I needed to treat. I hope all is well with the other clans." Goldensight paused to look around. "Ah, Windclan has not arrived yet? Shame. I don't particularly like waiting." Goldensight sat down in a comfortable area, seeing if the others would go on without Windclan or not.

Rainpool saw valewhisper coming from Shadowclan a silene faling between them when she looked at her. Rainpool did not like that, she had No burden with the meddicen cat and she wanted to show her that. “ Hello Valewhisper I heard about the skirmish, I am happy about the way you acted it was the right thing to do, Moonstar should have never dragged you into it” she sighed “ and I got a message for Moonstar from Lulabyshade: if she ever gets it in her mousebrain to even tuch her kits again Lulabyshade herself wil come to Shadowclan” she gave the Shadowclan medicen cat a sheepish smile “ I dont know What she would do but, whel the queen is rather protectieve of her kits” she hoped that Windclan would come soon so they could go on to the Moonstone.

Valewhisper nodded at Goldensight, following the RiverClan medicine cat a little further up the path towards Highstones. They needed to move or they would miss the window to speak with StarClan - she couldn't imagine how disrespectful and dishonorable such an act would be, and she didn't particularly want to find out. Then, it was also disrespectful for WindClan's medicine cat to miss the meeting, wasn't it? That will be WindClan's problem, Valewhisper told herself in an attempt to feel reassured. "I agree, Goldensight," Valewhisper mewed. "I think we need to go without WindClan. We can't afford to wait anymore." We've waited as long as we can. StarClan understands. All they could really do was press on.
As she took off, Valewhisper met Rainpool's eyes, and Valewhisper dipped her head deeply, grateful that medicine cats more often than not stood apart from Clan rivalries. She felt her ears grow warm with embarrassment as the ThunderClan medicine cat expressed her approval at Valewhisper's refusal to obey her leader. Valewhisper could still hardly believe what Moonstar had asked of her. However, the black and white she-cat's relief soon turned into annoyance and fear as Rainpool relayed a message from Lullabyshade to Moonstar. Now you're trying to drag me into it! Valewhisper wanted to yowl. She wasn't going to deliver a threat to her leader, especially not when she was already ill-favored.
Instead, the ShadowClan medicine cat simply looked away, shoulders slumping dejectedly, and took off up the path towards Highstones, sorrow and exhaustion making each step feel like a leap.

Half-Moon Meeting 8/4/2018 | TOTWL Once ThunderClan, SkyClan, ShadowClan, and RiverClan's medicine cats had arrived, the Half-Moon meeting was ready to begin, but without WindClan, it was different. Although, it seemed like WindClan always was first to come, so this was odd. Perhaps the cat was sick? No, it wasn't possible, why was WindClan not here?
It was disrespectful to go on without WindClan, but the medicine cats knew that it was important to keep in touch with StarClan, despite WindClan's lack of attendance during this time. | The cats had to move along, StarClan was waiting, and the medicine cats were not to disappoint their fellow ancestors.
Once all of the cats gathered, their meeting began, and silence took over the dark of night, but peacefully. |

"If WindClan isn't coming, we aren't waiting. Let's go in before StarClan gets impatient," Blazeleaf mewed, gesturing with his tail for them all to go into Mothermouth. The small tunnel was dark and cramped, but the black tom was able to easily pad through it, used to the space after many moons of this same routine. It was just another one of the tedious aspects of being a medicine cat. Conversing with StarClan wasn't bad, but they usually told him nothing but ominous warnings and bad news. Hopefully tonight they would just be nice and have a casual conversation for once. Having to report bad news about war or something like that to Lionstar would just be frustrating. Reaching the more open part of the cavern, he watched as the crystal suddenly illuminated with moonlight. Finally, he could see whatever StarClan wanted to show him that night. Lying down, the medicine cat pressed his nose against the cold stone, immediately feeling a wave of sleep crash over him. Not fighting it, he let himself begin to dream.
"Greetings, Blazeflight. It's nice to see you again," Robinstar greeted as Blazeleaf opened his eyes. Returning the former leader's smile with a glare, the tom got to his paws, looking around him. They were in their usual place, a part of StarClan that was similar to SkyClan territory. While he wasn't surprised at the she-cat's choice, he had started to wonder if she liked variation at all. At least take him to a different part of the forest. Frowning, the tom remembered the first time he had spoken to her. Then he had been young, and while the disappointment had been fresh, StarClan was still new and exciting. The old leader had seemed wise and cool, and now she just seemed strange and boring. "Cut the mouse-dung, Robinstar. Unless you really are glad to see my 'unappreciative' self, just give me the message and we'll be done," Blazeleaf said, a hint of sarcasm in his tone. Right then, he wasn't in the mood for Robinstar to act all pleasant and formal. Oh please, he knew that neither of them really wanted to be there. Just give him the message and be done with it. The she-cat just smiled back at him, causing the fur on the back of his neck to fluff up. Oh, that ginger cat had a way of getting on his nerves. "Who says I'm not here just to see you?" Robinstar asked, her eyes bright with a sense of humor that nearly drove Blazeleaf crazy. "Of course, that isn't true. I do have a message for you. But it isn't a prophecy, or a warning for Lionstar. No, it is a warning for you." The medicine cat stared back at her, a rather doubtful look in his eyes. Was this another one of her attempts to make him trust her more? If so, that wasn't going to work. While she might fall for something that lazily put together, he would not. After all, he wasn't the one who had believed Sorrelclaw was loyal for moons before she tried to take over the clan. Of course, he hadn't been alive at the time, but just after seeing that cat in the Dark Forest once he was pretty sure she would be easily spotted. So he wasn't having this whole personal warning thing. "Oh really? Am I endangering my clan by not wanting to be medicine cat? Well, I don't have a choice and it doesn't affect my patients, so what's the problem?" An obviously fake grin spread across his face before melting back into a scowl, his bright yellow eyes rolling irritably. "And maybe next time choose a different place to talk. Maybe somewhere dark, so if I close my eyes, I disappear." Blazeleaf almost smiled at how a huff escaped Robinstar, and how a frown flicked across her features for a moment before she returned to her usual hopeful smile. "You may take this as a joke, but it is not one. It isn't fair that you'r condition took the life as a warrior from you, but life isn't always fair, now is it? But you cannot use your lack of choice as an excuse to stray from your path. You're want for a different life is making you want to rebel from your current one. Let a cat from not from your clan die, or take on a mate. Is this right?" Robinstar's light blue eyes stared him down, and Blazeleaf looked back a bit suspiciously. It was true that he was sometimes tempted to do so, but he never planned on actually acting on those thoughts. And how did this dead she-cat know that anyway? "While you might think these are harmless thoughts, they might lead you to do something you regret. Have you ever heard of Swanheart or Goldenpool?" When the medicine cat shook his head, she continued. "They were medicine cats too, as well as codebreakers. Used a their rank as covers for the awful things they did. And now they reside in the Dark Forest." "So what? Two medicine cats went crazy or whatever, but most medicine cats don't. Why are you so worried about me?" Blazeflight protested, not a bit of worry seeming to have entered him. Robinstar gazed at him sadly, and a pang or worry washed through him, though his expression managed to hide it. She was never this serious looking, and usually by now they would be having a full on argument with hardly a breath of silence. But now she seemed worried about his denial, probably because it wasn't something he was going to have to tell Lionstar anyways. "They're relevant because they are what you specifically could become. You don't want to be a medicine cat, and while most cats in your situation would slowly learn to accept their role, you just get angrier about it every day. And eventually, that will cause you to be like them. Angry about how life has treated you, taking it out on innocent cats. Deny it all you want, but if you continue living like this, that will be your future." The seriousness in Robinstar's voice almost made Blazeleaf laugh, to her obvious displeasure. Soon enough he would prove her wrong, maybe even discourage these little warnings. Her words seemed logical, but really made no sense. Frustration about his job was not going to make him become a crazy murderer, even if it kept getting worse. Especially if they were the only two cats who knew about it. And one of them wasn't even alive. "So a few rebellious thoughts are going to make me into an evil codebreaker? No, that is not going to happen. And don't think this conversation is going to make me any more accepting as my medicine cat role. If my muscle condition somehow got better, there would be no way to stop me from becoming a warrior. And because miracles like that don't actually happen, I'm going to keep wanting to be a warrior forever. Now good bye, I'm tired of you thinking you're smarter than you are." Before Robinstar could say anything else, Blazeleaf willed himself to wake up, finally opening his eyes to be back in the moonstone cave.
Most medicine cats were still asleep. All of them except for Blazeleaf, actually. He was used to this. While everyone else slept until the crystal stopped glowing, he was used to leaving dreams early. At least Robinstar hadn't bothered him with anything about the war, that would have been annoying news to bring to Lionstar. Wondering why he ever came to the Moonstone with hope for good news, he waited for all the other medicine cats to wake up.

OOC: my god squirrelly that's so much text IC: Goldensight walked speedily down the cave, letting her senses guide her. The previous night Goldensight had had a nightmare wherein a group of dark invaders came to the forest causing trouble, followed by a much larger group lead by a cat more powerful anything Goldensight had ever seen. Goldensight just knew that her dream would be about this situation. She needed to know more, she needed to protect her clan. Not after long, they reached the Moonstone. Never would it cease to amaze Goldensight. It was by far the prettiest thing she had ever seen. Without watching the other medicine cats, Goldensight quickly touched her nose to the Moonstone, letting the blanket of sleep consume her. Goldensight opened her eyes to her dream. Now this is odd... She thought. Goldensight was not in her normal Starclan dreamscape, but somewhere different. It was darker here, although not as horrible as the Dark Forest. Goldensight whipped around as she heard the crack of a stick, made paranoid by the dark place Goldensight had found herself in. Just as Goldensight turned around to where she was perviously looking, what she saw gave her quite the fright. It was a fiery reddish brown she-cat, her stature towering above Goldensight. Goldensight knew who this was. Everyone did. This cat was told to kits and apprentices as a legend by elders in a bad mood. "Taturataku..." she mumbled. (If you do not know who this is, see Starclan Masterlist) Was she soon to die? Goldensight shook her head. She knew that Taturataku did not only bring warnings of death, but also that of disasters.
Goldensight looked up to meet the large cat's gaze. "Tell me Taturataku. Why are you here? Have you come to taunt me before my demise?" Goldensight looked angrily at the fallen rogue, remembering the stories of all the pain and chaos she had caused. Taturataku turned to meet her gaze, then spoke. "I am not here to... taunt you. Quite the opposite actually. I would like to congratulate you for your future long life. You will die happily, I can assure you that. However, I have come to warn you." Taturataku eyes seemed to glaze over in a way that one cat had spoke of before they died. "A great force is coming, one greater than anything you can ever dream of. Beware of the devil, beware the demon. Beware the Scarring."
Before Goldensight had any time to react or respond, before she felt a searing pain. One that the same elder had screamed of in the middle of the night. The pain was worse than anything she had ever felt, worse than her scarring. Suddenly, in the brief moment when she was conscious and thinking but not awake, realization dawned on her. She wanted to scream out in pain and fear, but dared not to wake the others. Goldensight's eyes flew open. She stood up and looked around and saw Blazeleaf awake, looking frustrated. Not wanting to wake the others, Goldensight simply nodded to him. Goldensight took a step back towards the tunnel. Goldensight did not leave before the others however. She desperately wanted to get back to her clan, to warn Pebblestar of her dream.
This was Äker.

OCC: I have NO IDEA what star clan should tel to her rainpool silently walked into mother mouth towards the moonstone, when she touched the moonstone the tiredness that had already been there overwhelmed her took her into a deep sleep. When she woke up in an forested area no one was there, there was no sound either. Then without a warning Nightstar stood before her, not making a sound not movement, then the star clan cat looked at her, the dark blue eyes of the she cat looking straight trough her, then she turned around making a gesture with her tail to Rainpool to follow her, Rainpool silently obeyed. after an, in Rainpool's eyes unececary long walk they arrived at a smal pool in the middle of the forest. The pool shined in the reflection of the starlight and Rainpool could see thousands of stars in it .
" a great danger is coming" the words of Nightstar made the pool dark, and al the stars who where shining in it went out. Rainpool fixed her gaze upon Nightstar " what is going on? please tel me" her mind rushed thinking about what danger could be coming for her clan. " a danger is coming" again the words of the star clan cat made Rainpool feel like nothing but a small droplet of rain. " A GREAT DANGER IS COMING" the words now echoed around the forest hurting the ears of the meddicen cat as she backed away hoping the pain in her ears would stop, it didn't stop, Rainpool looked in al her pain to the Starclan cat, but she was gone, then the echoes faded but the pain remain. Rainpool looked around what was happening? Why wouldn't Nightstar answer her questions?
Battle screams now drang into her ears, pain once more struck the medicine cat as she looked for the source of the sounds, but it seemed like the screams came from al around her. she baked away, towards that small pool once shining with stars now as black as the dark forest. Than she could see them a group of cats as strong as star clan themselves. " Äker"
Raipool sprang up as she adjusted herself to her surroundings, she saw the Moonstone before her and felt the cold of mother mouth coming trough her pelt. She looked around her one eye adjusting to the darkness, she saw that both Goldensight and Blazeleaf had already awoken she padded to Goledensight at the beginning of the tunnel. Nodded to her and took a seat right next to her, away from the moonstone, close to another cat she tried to calm herself down wondering of Goldensight saw her shakings paws. that dream...no Vision she tried to think back at it only to be treated by the pain and fear again that group of cats, who where they? and what or who is Äker?
