Tigerkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Tigerkit padded out of the nursery, excited as he was ready to become an apprentice. The tom stood underneath The Tallbranch, hoping that his thoughts were right.

Mallowdrop walked behind Tigerkit, letting her run ahead of the queen as the female understood her kits excitement for Mallowdrop remembered the day she herself had run out of the nursery, excited to escape the same old spell and move into the apprentices' den. It was hard to imagine herself as Mallowpaw, a young kit who was still learning how to get a toms attention, but she already had her own.

Brambleshine noticed Mallowdrop's sudden appearance, smiling at her and dipping his head. He understood this was a proud moment for the queen and wanted to keep this moment stuck with the she-cat for the rest of her days, but he knew that she wouldn't mind imagining this over and over again as an elder.

"Tigerkit, please jump up." Brambleshine ordered, continuing. "Tigerkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Tigerpaw. I ask StarClan to watch over you and guide you until you find in your paws the strength and courage of a warrior." The tom mewed once more, sensing Tigerpaw's excitement. "Dustplume, please jump up." Brambleshine called, looking towards the tom with a smile. "Dustplume, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training from Dapplepine, and you have shown yourself to be fierce and brave. You will be the mentor of Tigerpaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to him." The deputy finished, dipping his head once more and jumping down from The Tallbranch. Brambleshine was proud in his pickings, hoping that Dustplume's almost opposite personality of Tigerpaw's would help her aggressive behavior change.

Mallowdrop cheered, "Tigerpaw! Tigerpaw! Tigerpaw!" the mother purred loudly, hearing the other cats who had gathered in SkyClan chant her kits name with her.

The newly named Tigerpaw touched nose with Dustplume, she was happy and looked down to her mouth with a big smile, knowing that even though it was just her mom, that Tigerpaw was still proud.
