| F rostkit lied on a mossbed,her head lying on her paws. She had another cough attack in the nursery again. That twice in one day so she was back here again. She wondered why born this way to be what other kits call weak and fragile. It was true that she didn't have a dark pelt to blended with the forest but didn't mean she was any less than normal kit. She had feelings to which they just don't seem to understand.They don't understand that she to her parents died right in front of her due to a blasted badger and with no siblings, she was alone.
"Why did Starclan curse me?" she mumbled under her breath but was followed by a trail of a cough. |

Valewhisper could hear the soft coughing from the nursery from the fresh-kill pile. A claw of anxiety ripped at her stomach as she quickly snatched any piece of prey - she happened to grab a young magpie - and headed back to the medicine cat's den. When she entered the fluffy, snow white fur of Frostkit immediately grabbed Valewhisper's eye. The young kit wasn't even six moons and had already lived the trauma of cats thrice her age. Family slaughtered, facing her own illness, Valewhisper was pleased and hopeful that the she-cat was making any sort of recovery at all. The medicine cat couldn't imagine what strength it must be taking to carry on.
"I hear the coughing is worse," Valewhisper murmured sympathetically, gently nuzzling the kit's shoulder. "How are you feeling? Is there anything else bothering you?" The black and white she-cat turned from the kit to her herb stores, reaching a delicate paw into a crevice to pull out some coltsfoot from the store. Valewhisper padded over to Frostkit and set one of the thin, spiky green leaves down in front of the kit. "Chew this; it will help you breathe better." |

| F rostkit was graceful to see happy Valewhisper appeared as she chest was hurting to her. She had much respect for the she-cat for her knowledge and Wisdom. If only some of her clanmates were more like her. She didn't why always felt calmer when she was around thou she would never admit it. "Despite this coughing, I'm fine," she replied, "But thanks anyway for asking." She wanted her problems to end but she that would never happen. She was destined to never know what is likely to true have happiness felt. As bicolor molly placed down the herds, Frostkit happily did she want was told without question. She trusted the medicine cat enough to know she would give her anything that would kill her. She didn't mind the taste at all, in fact, she kinda likes it. She was lost in thought she didn't know her cough was gone. |

Valewhisper nodded softly at Frostkit's response. The little kit was wise beyond her time already; what did the future hold for her? ShadowClan could only guess. The medicine cat watched as the young kit lapped up the leaves, and felt relief when the Frostkit's breathing began to quickly smooth out and the rasping began to die away. Just a little kitten cough, Valewhisper thought to herself. She is otherwise healthy and strong; she'll be a wonderful warrior for ShadowClan someday.
Once the kit had lapped up the herbs, Valewhisper laid down at her side and began to gently groom the kit's sleek white fur. Between licks, she mewed, "You are very brave. I know Doveflight and Hawkjaw would be proud of you." The black and white she-cat felt a pang of sadness as she remembered their maimed and broken bodies; there was nothing she could have done to save them. Not even StarClan themselves could have saved them from their wounds, but it didn't keep her heart from twisting with guilt. Not for the first time, Valewhisper was relieved and grateful that somehow Frostkit had been spared from the same fate. |

| F rostkit looked lied down completely as Valewhisper groomed her. She enjoys it for remember of her mother-her kindness, loving smile and caring personality when even she was sick. She missed her so much and just as much as her father. Why did Starclan take them away before she was ready? She closed her eyes as was so soothing when Valwhipser spoke. Her brave-How? All she does it try to defend herself when no else will. Bullying is what made her this way having to find her feelings for the part. "How am I brave when they all call me weak?" she asked opening one eye and looked up at her. "Why would my parents be proud of a weak kit like me? |

Valewhisper listened without responding immediately as Frostkit questioned how she could be considered brave. The medicine cat considered her words for a moment, continuing to rasp her tongue rhythmically over the back of Frostkit's neck, smoothing the fur until it shimmered. "You are brave for doing your best to survive in a world without your parents." The words came between licks again, a soft murmur. "You did not succumb to the badger that killed two grown warriors. You haven't succumbed to your illness. You haven't succumbed to the sorrow of a world without your family." Valewhisper nudged Frostkit's ear lovingly. "You have strength greater than any warrior, without even having to lift a claw." |

| F rostkit didn't know what to say to Valewhipser. She was utterly speechless for she hadn't heard such inspiring or truly meaningful words since her parent's death. A smile-for once a smile came on her face instead of a cold and bitter stare.
Valewhipser gave her time and patience when others would just roll their eyes at and give her hateful looks. One time they even said she wouldn't amount to anything. It the was main reason she shut her heart away, but this cat was one of the first in long she felt she could open up to.
Was thing what it is like to be a medicine cat? She wondered but for too long as nuzzled into Valewhipser's fur. She really was brave wasn't. "I guess your right, thank you." She mewed purring loudly, "Those would mean more than you." She wanted to more about medicine cat. "Umm," her tone was rather fluttered now. "If you don't mind could you tell me more about medicine cats and what they do?" Sorry then was late I had to think.
I AM GETTING vIDES THat Valewhipser is going to be kinda motherly figure to Frostkit/paw.
