[closed] Herb Hunt, Anyone?

"Hey Valewhisper! How are you doing today? I'm great. I found a tree with enough branches to climb, then jumped off of it into the Muddy Trench! It was so much fun. How are you doing? I think I already asked that, didn't I? Anyway, the question still stands!" Eaglepaw greeted, her expression one of pure excitement. Clumps of mud still stuck to her wet pelt, even though she had washed herself off in a small stream. When she had seen Valewhisper outside of her den, she had jumped for the opportunity to talk to the medicine cat. This was so much fun! Maybe she would learn about a herb that made cats sneeze and slip it into cat's dens! Of course she would apologize afterwards, but it would be hilarious! Smiling, she looked the other she-cat in the eyes.

"It was amazing. And I don't think I'm any more full of energy than usual, why do you say that? Well, I did get a lot of sleep last night, so that is possible," Eaglepaw began, mentally listing all of the reasons that Valewhisper could have commented on her energy level. Was she really that noticeably energetic that day? Well, she hadn't noticed it herself, but she wasn't exactly the most observant cat ever. So she could possibly be very full of energy that day. All thoughts about her energy level disappeared at the medicine cat's next words. Just the idea of a salamander made her amber eyes lit up in glee, and now she was being offered one! This was so exciting!
"Do you really mean it? I love salamanders so much! Thank you!" Without waiting another moment, she took a large bite out of the lizard, almost eating the entirety of what was rest in one bite. Smiling, she savored how delicious it was, before quickly eating up the rest. Lizard was her favorite food by far, and she had no idea what she would have done if she hadn't been born into ShadowClan. All the other clans never ate reptiles, and she couldn't even imagine living like that. Not having time to swallow first, she kept talking, her mouth full. "A scafenfer hunf? Thaf shouns life fun!" Swallowing everything that was in her mouth, she hurriedly clarified. "You probably couldn't understand me with my mouth full, but I meant to say 'A scavenger hunt? That sounds like fun!' Can we get going?"

"It's not a scavenger hunt?" Eaglepaw asked in surprise, disappointed for less than a second. The moment Valewhisker clarified that they were searching for herbs, her face lit up again in glee. Herb hunting with the medicine cat would probably be so much fun! It was also probably a big honor. Imagining herself running back into camp with a bazillion herbs in her jaws made her grin wildly. Maybe she could find out the uses of some of the herbs while on the hunt, just to see if there were any that would make good pranks. While she loved any good prank, lame ones were bad. Any kit could have enough knowledge to know thorns hurt and put them in a nest, and everyone would know what happened right away. Good pranks needed to be better hidden, and the prankster needed to have more knowledge. And this patrol could give her just that. "Oh StarClan, I'm so excited! We are going to find so many herbs, the clan won't even believe it! Can you tell me how some of the herbs are used on the way? I'm just curious."
