Mallowdrop nodded in pain as she responded to her mate, clearly a little confused as she felt the urge to sleep. Should she? No, it would have to lead to something bad, right? Whatever it was to lead to, Mallowdrop didn't care, she at least needed to speak to Ravenheart about what was happening with Brambleshine, if anything good. "What was that crack?" She asked Ravenheart, her voice still as raspy as before as she slowly tried to reach over and eat the herbs. Hopefully, it would help. The number of cats gathering around her was a little nerve-racking, having it being possible that Mallowdrop could literally die at any given moment. But Mallowdrop needed to stay strong, for the sake of her kits, mate, and everyone around her.

Pain throbbed through Snowfeather as she forced herself to her paws, forcing her way through the growing crowd of cats to sit in front of Mallowdrop. "That was Brambleshine's spine," She said, a chillingly calm tone in her voice, "The false leader is dead." With everything that had happened, the creamy she-cat had almost forgotten about the large gaping wound on her side, which pulsed with heat. Snowfeather winced as she twisted to gently clean off the blood, hoping to ease the pain even slightly. She didn't want to admit to herself that she was distracting herself from the thought of what would happen next. Was she to become leader? Or was she not ready for it?

Mallowdrop smiled weakly at Snowfeather, "I know you will be a good leader, Snowfeather." the queen smiled. "I know that you are in pain and clearly confused, we all are," Mallowdrop reassured the female. "I believe that Snowstar will be the best leader that any of the clans have seen, even the arrogant Brambleshine who is highly jealous from below." Mallowdrop teased, laughing before taking a break to cough. "Make Bramblestar never seem to exist, your clan's faith in you is strong. Snowstar won't be so impossible by tomorrow, you just need to stick around for it." Mallowdrop smiled, looking into Snowfeather as calmly as possible. "Your words burn into the world just as every painful memory does for every cat here and to be alive. And your actions are scars, but not all scars are bad." The exiled she-cat continued, "I do not fear errors from you Snowfeather, you will merely make it up just with your kindness and keen mind."

A warm sense of calm spread through Snowfeather after hearing Mallowdrops words, and suddenly she was less uncertain of herself and her capabilities as leader. Snowfeather, suddenly feeling like she should be indebted to the wounded she-cat, bent her head and pressed her muzzle firmly against the queens cheek, noting the peaty scent that clung to her fur. "Mallowdrop, I thank you. For your kind words and your untimely wisdom," Snowfeather started softly, "Know that Skyclan always welcomes you, your kits, and your mate, in times of need."
As Snowfeather stood, a sense of humbleness came over her, knowing that despite her new title, and her extra lives she would receive from Starclan, she was no different, and no better, than any of the cats that surrounded her. Just like Snowfeather, they all had friends, family, and loved ones that they would do anything to protect, and the new leader vowed to herself that she would keep the peace between her clan and her neighbors for as long as she could.
