Waiting for a few heartbeats as the clan gathered, the deputy looked down at Fokkit, puffing out her chest in pride. Not only was she proud of her young clanmate, but she took pride in being able to be the one directing this memorable moment. "Foxkit," Snowstar started, her voice ringing out through the camp, "You have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Foxpaw. I ask StarClan to watch over you and guide you until you find in your paws the strength and courage of a warrior." Taking a soft breath, Snowstar scanned the crowd, looking for the new apprentices to-be mentor. When she laid her eyes on the cat, the deputy purred in approval. "Icemask, you are determined and lithe, and I hope that you pass these traits onto Foxpaw, just as your mentor passed them onto you."
