Tigerpounce hid a chuckle from Brackenstar's response, though she realized how serious it is that Lionstar has failed to show for the second time. She watched the large tom scale the Great Rock, and listened as he shared news of Windclan. Despite her own allegiances, she admired the tom for his level head and fairness, and appreciated the humbleness that came with sitting amongst the warriors. Tigerpounce gazed up at the moon, watching as clouds passed through the sky, yet never blocking the moon, and though she was no medicine cat, she thought it odd that Starclan would allow the gathering to continue without Skyclan present. The thought sent a wave of unease over her, though she was unsure if it was any cause for concern, or if it was just her imagination.

| S orrelcloud walked along with her clanmates and leader. It was time another gathering but this time she was present. She had missed the last one due to sickness. But more it was time for action and could see this Badgerstar up close and personally. Like always Windclan was the first on the scene and she took pride in knowing that the other clans were late. She knew how terrible the situation was and what happened was done wrong and out of spite.
As Brackenstar's motion for everyone to disburse she brushed her tail against him and gave a knowing look. He wasn't alone in this nor would he never be. She just wanted to make he knows. Afterall, she didn't blame Thunderclan itself for the actions done. She blamed Badgerstar for it. That what she thought as finally walked away taking her place as the area where deputies go.
To not take responsibility for what happened to a border skirmish that costed lives of an entire patrol is not just wrong. No, It is downright sickening. Sorrelcloud is a she-cat of justice even if put having to punish some of her own clanmates, she wants equal justice for all. What happened to Moonstar and her clan was uncalled for and the very definition of brutal and barbaric.
As Badgerstar made his "smart" remark at Moonstar she glared daggers at him. Such an instigator. She had to look away just to keep her mouth shut from lashing back at him. And remained quiet to staying out of the limelight for now. If someone wanted to talk to her they could but she didn't want to start a conversation at this moment. She expected Windclan on their best behavior because may not be by the end this. Her light brown eyes gleamed in the moonlight looked at Brackenstar giving a silent message with her look. Brackenstar I swear I will try to remain as neutral as I can but if Bagderstar says something about Windclan that isn't true or gets out of hand, my nerve may slip. |

Badgerstar looked towards Sorrelcloud, a look of displease coming upon his face. He then turned towards Brackenstar, figuring that he could respond to the males question. "All prey would be well in our camp," Badgerstar mewed, trying not to make it sound like he was announcing his clans news. "Smokepaw is still recovering from an...incident." The leader mewed, "But you can thank Valewhisper for helping him, along with Ravenheart." Badgerstar purred, a look of thanks going towards the two. "Despite our troubles, Moonstar, I would like to offer a peace between us." Badgerstar mewed as he looked back to Moonstar, a reassuring look coming to his face. He didn't want to put too much disrespect on Moonstar this evening, knowing that her plans may be worse. The male had also been reminded from his mate multiple times about the whole tragedy and mess between he and the leader to cool down, giving him tips as well.
Ferretheart gleamed as she looked over toward Tigerpounce, smiling but trying not to make it too noticeable to other cats, just like Ottersplash was clearly doing. She tried her best not to turn red and hide herself beneath her dark pelt, but some of her white markings didn't do as well of a job.
The female had been looking around for someone to talk to, hoping that she could settle some peace to others, specifically a ShadowClan cat, if possible.

Moonstar felt infinitely relieved. She was so sure that Badgerstar would say what she had done without hearing the full story. And not only not threatening Shadowclan and Riverclan's relationship, but now also offering peace? This had to be a sign from Starclan that things would get better. Moonstar tried to keep the excitement out of her voice, but also not sound dissapointed. "I will gladly accept your offer Badgerstar. Thank you so very much." Moonstar would never forgive Badgerstar for what had happened to her family, but she would now respect him. Respect him for wanting to end the bloodshed like Moonstar had, not wanting to drag it on.
Moonstar had a strange feeling. A feeling that this was not only the end of something horrible and the start of something great, but also the catalyst for something far, far worse. Moonstar pushed the thought away. Now was a time to rejoice for peace, not to worry for death.

Hollowblossom looked up to Badgerstar, a confused face beginning to submerge on her calm and a little bit anxious one. Why was Badgerstar ending the war so early? They still had more to fight for! Of course, Moonstar and ThunderClan's leader had to talk about what happened at that horrible patrol she had heard about from Ferretheart, right?
The female shook her head, wondering what was going on through her leaders head. She knew that peace was important for the clans, but why now? ThunderClan would still have to deal with WindClan since they didn't seem to have any interests in staying in their agreement. ShadowClan still had SkyClan to deal with since they had broken out of their deal with Moonstar, which had originally been made Ashstar, whose reign ended when he was killed by a snake bite. Hollowblossom never really had thought of Ashstar as a danger, but she only heard stories about him, so there wasn't anything official with how she knew him and why she could just dismiss his obviously reckless and insane behaviors.

Brambleshine trotted in with SkyClan. There had been some difficulties tonight with Lionstar, who ended up sending Brambleshine to go out to the gathering instead. The deputy had no idea why his leader had ordered him to do such things, but he knew that it was all for his clan in the end.
The deputy leaped up onto The Great Rock, presuming that he would have to be the leader for the time being. Although he still kept the name Brambleshine with pride, he knew that the tom would be a lot prouder if it was Bramblestar, which he knew wouldn't be until long after Lionstar passed. Brambleshine planned on being a good example this gathering and hoped that it would make him look good in front of the other clans' eyes.
Brambleshine turned towards the other leaders and deputies, "I will be SkyClan's lead in this gathering if you don't mind." The tom mewed, then turning back as he was ready to share SkyClan's news. It looked like the other clans had resorted to small talk while they waited for Brambleshine's clan to come. The tom had an idea what he was doing, despite not going to a gathering yet with the deputy rank.

The sound of her name drew Valewhisper from her foreboding thoughts. Crouched low at the edge of the clearing, she lifted her black-and-white head towards the Great Rock, where Badgerstar was glancing gratefully between her and Ravenheart, the deputy. Valewhisper lowered her gaze again, feeling guilt burning in her belly again. I disobeyed my Clan leader, she thought woefully. She'll never trust me again. Wrapped in her own thoughts, she failed to hear the agreement of peace pass between the two leaders who had been fighting for so long.
Brackenstar's ears twitched with mild interest as Badgerstar mentioned an "incident", but his choice to not elaborate couldn't have been an accident. The WindClan leader would not pry, however much he wanted to know to what the tom was referring. Smokepaw was Badgerstar's son. The leader could simply have been worried from a fatherly place. When Badgerstar addressed Moonstar next, Brackenstar tensed slightly, preparing for the worst, and had to stifle a mew of surprise when Badgerstar suggested that they make peace. Brackenstar eyed them carefully, confused but relieved as he was sure Moonstar must be.
Brackenstar looked at the moon; it was nearing its peak. They needed to get on with the Gathering. As the golden brown tom looked down to scan the clearing one last time before beginning, he scented SkyClan on the breeze, and only a moment later the Clan entered led not by Lionstar but by a different tom with a thick gray coat and white chest and paws. Brackenstar made room for the tom as he leapt onto the Great Rock, stating that he would be SkyClan's lead. Brackenstar didn't like this cat's presumptuous attitude and asked in nearly a growl, "And you might be...?"
The newcomer certainly smelled of SkyClan, but Brackenstar had never seen him before. Had something happened to Lionstar?
Dustplume raced after his deputy, his paws heavy as he ran. He felt annoyance, and guilt, stabbing his belly. They were late for the Gathering, and they would look weak to the other Clans. When Brambleshine pushed his way into the clearing, Dustplume followed him with his chest out, chin high, and tail up. He wouldn't let them see how disconcerted he was by their tardiness, and by the absence of Lionstar.

Moonstar watched the scene with growing intrest, calculating the odds of various scenarios. It was unlikely (but still possible) that this new cat had staged a coup and killed Lionstar. No, Skyclan was much too loyal and this cat was much too weak. Could it be that the same night Lionstar chose a new deputy they died? No, that was near impossible. Perhaps Moonstar was just overthinking things. Perhaps this was just a stage-in for a sick Lionstar. Although similar to how Brackenstar was acting, Moonstar didn't like this cat. They were over-confident. "Perhaps they are just a stand-in for Lionstar?" Moonstar suggested. They should just get on with the gathering, it was already almost half-over.

"My name is Brambleshine, newest addition to SkyClan's deputy list." The tom mewed as he looked towards Brackenstar, glancing towards Moonstar in an approving way. He had been angry at the female but wanted to show his spot in his clan. So, for now, he would have to remain quiet.
Brambleshine began to ramble slightly, something he did a little too often. "Lionstar has sent me out for reasons unknown." The tom addressed, "You should have no worries, I am in no way related to murdering my own leader nor holding him captive." Brambleshine explained, "I like to think that I don't seem like that cat, not even at first glance." The deputy explained, hoping he was gaining some trust from his fellow leaders.

OOC: lol Brambleshine can read minds.
Moonstar glanced toward the sky. The didn't have much time left in the gathering. "We should really get started now. Brackenstar, since you got here first would you like to deliver your clan's news?" Moonstar mewed. She was in no hurry to relay the news of her kit's death to the other leaders. She thought about how she would do it without throwing shade at Thunderclan. Despite her grief, it was overwhelmed by here excitement at the end to the war. Moonstar's mind then went to her kits. Moonstar pushed all of these thoughts aside, focussing on the moment at hand.

Brackenstar wasn't comforted by Brambleshine's suspiciously specific yet still vague explanation of Lionstar's absence, and his presence. However, it would have to do. Brackenstar merely grunted in acknowledgement of the tom's words. Moonstar addressed Brackenstar, and the WindClan leader nodded in agreement. The golden brown tom stepped to the front of the Great Rock, ahead of his fellow leaders and the new SkyClan deputy, Brambleshine. He let out a yowl, to bring the attention of the gathered Clans to him.
"The Gathering has begun! We meet under the light of the full moon and Silverpelt in peace to share news of the forest, and to honor the ways of our Warrior ancestors. I will speak first for WindClan." he called. He gazed around the audience to ensure that they were listening, though what he had to say was likely of little importance to the other Clans. "Prey is plenty on the moors this greenleaf. Our Apprentices are training well, and their mentors are wise and strong. I would like to present for the first time my deputy, Sorrelcloud." He flicked his tail towards the she-cat. He said nothing of the illness that kept her from the previous gatherings.

Brambleshine listened close as Brackenshine thoroughly reported the news. The tom felt like it was now his turn, for it would be exciting to share his first ever accomplishments with the other clan leaders.
Brambleshine stood up, his chest puffed out as he gathered the courage to speak to the clan leaders and cats surrounding them. "SkyClan has been well, we have received a new batch of kits along from Mallowdrop who seem healthy and strong." The strong male reported, joyful and prideful at the same time as he had almost been tasting the desire to share this news for moons now, ever since he was a kit, in fact. "We now have another second-in-command, which would be me." Brambleshine winked as he finished his sentence, sitting back down and waiting for another leader to come to their clan news.

"Things have been going well in RiverClan," Pebblestar began, looking cheerfully at the other leaders. "We have one new apprentice, Ashkit. We are catching lots of fish and are very well fed. And we also have a new deputy, Tigerpounce."

| S orrelcloud was shocked to see that Badgerstar called for peace. So the wimp finally was using his head for once and being so short-tempered and spiteful. With the era of peace, marked that Windclan and Thunderclan alliance was over as well. Finally, her clan could go back to normal and she was all too happy about it. This her first gathering as deputy (though the acceptance of Lionstar again was bad) would be something she would ever forget. The molly's looked over to see Skyclan was being led being lead by a tom who was not Lionstar. At least they were here, last as ever but there should be may be a good reason for this. She listened to the conversation quietly. So Brambeshine was the new deputy of Skyclan. He seemed a did too cocky but smart. Yet it still didn't stop her from being skeptical of him. His explanation was too vague not to go unnoticed. Regardless, the gathering could finally start as should. She smiled as Brackenstar was started taking pride as he said her name. In her mind, this mark her time of weakness was over and this met that was the deputy of Windclan. And there was no going back now. |

Tigerpounce dipped her head as Pebblestar announced her name, glancing up slightly to catch the eyes of Ferretheart, and seeing the Thunderclan she-cats eyes on her made the deputy's fur burn. Perking up to avoid drawing attention, the bengal rolled her eyes while Brambleshine spoke, acting as if he was all that and a pile of prey. "What makes him think he can speak before the other leaders?" Tigerpounce muttered, the fur on her shoulders prickling. "I'd bet the fur off my back that he wasn't joking about Lionstar, too," She added, swallowing a growl and sucking in a deep breath of air. Looking up at the stars, she wondered how Starclan felt about the second in command taking the place of his leader, with no given explanation; though Tigerpounce had no authority in the matter, the idea that Brambleshine, a newly appointed deputy just like her, could stand in the place of a leader without needing to explain left a bitter taste in her mouth, and she turned away in anger as if to avoid having to look at the arrogant mouse-brain any longer.
