Goldensight returned from gathering herbs. She was lucky she was a large cat and could carry so many herbs. Goldensight had brought back a lot of chervil and catmint, both of which were abundant. Despite the fine mood she was in, memories of the Uniter still lingered in the back of her head, no matter how hard she pushed them away. As Goldensight was approaching the medicine den, she noticed Tigerpounce sitting there with a fish, looking like he wanted to share it with her. Goldensight normally would've brushed it off, but it was getting late and she was too tired to argue. "I'lf be bark in hu mermunt." She said through a muffled voice.
Goldenisght walked up to her herb rack and placed the chervil in one of the cracks and the catmint in a hole next to the rack where no pesky apprentices could find it. Goldensight also replaced her bedding, which was getting old. Finally, when all business was done, Goldensight paced outside of her den to where Tigerpounce was sitting. "So, why do you want to share prey?" She asked him.

Tigerpounce settled down next to the fish, neatly tucking her paws beneath herself, "What, is there something wrong with the deputy and the medicine cat sharing a meal?" She asked, her ears pricking in amusement. "Besides," She continued, "You looked like you had a lot on your mind. I figured some company and a nice meal were in order." Nudging the piece of prey closer to Goldensight, as an invitation to take the first bite, Tigerpounce stretched her jaws in a massive yawn. Green eyes heavy, she bit into the fish, relishing in the savory freshwater taste. The sun was growing heavy in the sky, golden rays setting her pelt afire, warmth seeping into her muscles as the last bits of daylight were stretching through the camp.

Goldensight was just about to take a bite of the fish when she heard Tigerpounce say 'You looked like you had a lot on your mind...' Goldensight was surprised. She thought no one had noticed. "Y-you noticed? Well, I guess you'll be wondering what that was all about. I don't tell stories much but I suppose it's late in the evening. Prime-time for horror stories, eh?" Goldensight said, taken aback. She tried to remember the start of the story. Whatever Tigerpounce said, Goldensight didn't care. She kind of wanted to scare someone right now, and this was her best chance.

Watching the expression shift on Goldensight's face, Tigerpounce knew she was in for an interesting story. Though she felt bad that it may have come off as the deputy forcing the story out the medicine cat, she was deeply intrigued at whatever Goldensight was hiding. "Well," Tigerpounce sighed, "Only if you're comfortable with talking about it. I must admit I do love a good scary story." As the sun sank further into the horizon and the two cats finished their meal, Tigerpounce had settled in for the time being, watching Goldensight intently as she waited for the tale to begin. Though she was no longer a kit, the deputy still enjoyed the stories shared by her clan, as well as those individual to each cat.

Goldensight smiled. Tigerpounce was in for a fright. She remembered the day when it all began, and so Goldensight began her story. "This story takes place back when I was a warrior. Not many remember those days. Many moons ago I was a warrior as odd as it may sound. At this point I had just become a warrior, and this was my first hunting patrol as a warrior. I remember the scent of shrew luring me away from my patrol. Just when I was about to pounce, something pounced on me covered my mouth so I couldn't yelp for help and then threw me against a tree, breaking my leg and knocking me out. I remember waking up in a dark cave. My sister seemed to have gone looking for me and got herself captured too." Goldensight looked over to Tigerpounce. from here on out the story got pretty gory. "Hey Tigerpounce, promise me you won't throw up at the rest of the story. It's pretty... terrifying."

The she cat smiled wryly at Goldensight's question, but nodded in response anyway. "Trust me, I've seen some pretty horrible things in my days. I'm not as queasy as you think," Tigerpounce winked, leaning in to hear more of the story. Something that had always fascinated her was a cats capacity for evil; she didn't have any dark intents herself, far from it, but she was deeply interested in what drives a cat to do such terrible things. Tigerpounce knew that no matter what the story played out to be, it had to be something horrible, seeing as Goldensight kept it from most cats. She didn't blame the medicine cat, though, since even Tigerpounce hid demons of her own. In a way, she was proud of the medicine cat, for overcoming her own living nightmares in order to help her entire clan, and the thought sparked a sense of pride in her chest for being able to call the tortured, caring medicine cat her clanmate.

OOC: Minor gore warning.
IC: Goldensight sighed. The story would be long at it was getting late, but Goldensight supposed that Tigerpounce wanted to hear it anyways. "After getting captured, my sister and I were forced to hunt for about a moon. I believe that the most we were fed was a shriveled mouse. That was if we were fed at all. Then, after a few moons, we met the cat who had kidnapped us. He began to torture us for secrets on the clans. at first, my sister didn't tell the cats anything, but after being starved and having her ears ripped off she spoke. After that she was killed. The cat ripped her stomach open and let her bleed to death. Then, he torture me for secrets. Didn't take long for me to speak. Smart as the cat is though, he didn't take into account that I might be lying. Afterwards he branded me with a scar, and let me live to tell the tale. If you were wondering, the scar is on my chest." Goldensight rolled onto her back. Not only was she showing Tigerpounce her scar, but she could also sunbath in the little light that was left. The scar was an eye with a scar through the middle of it.

Tigerpounce winced softly, rubbing a paw over her stomach as if to protect it. She gazed down at the scar on Goldensight's chest and let out a thoughtful puff, "Whoever this cat was, they sure did think highly of themselves." The deputy stretched out next to Goldensight as the wind ruffled pleasantly through her fur. "So tell me," Tigerpounce began, "What became of the fox-hearted beast? Please tell me you lined your nest with its pelt." Though it was unlikely, and there was a better chance that the mysterious attacker got away, Tigerpounce wouldn't mind getting her claws on the beast herself.

Goldensight chuckled. "No, I didn't manage to kill him. When we went back to where he was with reinforcements, the only things left were a stack of dead bodies and blood on the ground the spelled out the word 'Äker.'" Goldensight glanced back at Tigerpounce. "So, are you going to have nightmares tonight?" Goldensight asked him, grinning. Although she was terrified of this Äker character, It was in the past. Many moons had gone by since The Uniter had left leaving barely anything behind. They could no longer harm her, and so she wasn't scared.

Shaking her head, Tigerpounce purred softly, "Well if I do, I know who to come to." The cream and brown she-cat stretched her legs out against the cool twilight air, "And if you ever do find this character, you might have to fight me for the first blow at him." Tigerpounce wasn't an inherently violent cat, but she was brutally protective of the cats she cared about, and the clan she swore to defend; The thought of such bloodthirsty cats roaming the territories, even in the past, made her fur tingle apprehensively. How could such cruel cats exist? Even the loners and rogues I've met aren't that brutal... And how could one single cat be able to unite them into a group?
